Lone Star (Sayles)

My vote for most underrated/overlooked film of all time.

Nobody has ever even HEARD of it.

Unbelievable.

All of John Sayles movies are good (okay, maybe not Piranha).

I like Limbo quite a bit as well.

I've heard of and even seen it. A great flick and the viewing of it was enhanced because we saw it while on vacation in Newport R.I. where they have this fabulous old time movie theater.

We try to go there every time we are in town because we love the feel of the place and also because they always seem to have these great sleeper films.

What I really like about Sayles is that his focus is on character and the story just sort of happens.

Agree on Matewan, and I don't think it's even close. I haven't seen Casa de Los Babys, but everything else is really good but not great.
