Re: 10+1 rebuy
I'm at Jason's table now, #20. I got real lucky when I raised with AA, had the flop come down JJx and got raised. I thought he could easily be on a flush draw and just couldn't let it go and went all-in. He had AJ. Doh! But I caught a miracle A on the turn and now have 34K at the break for 16th overall.
Strassa had a very nice stack until an ill advised bluff with AK at a Q high board. The guy with QQ wasn't folding. He's back to average now. |

Re: 10+1 rebuy
Lucky he didn't hit his redraw on the river! Now THAT would be a PokerStars Special.
I had KK in the SB, someone raised from LP, I reraised, BB goes all-in for a ton, original raiser folds... what do you suppose he had? T5o... Chilling with an average stack now. You guys are having all the fun. |

Re: 10+1 rebuy
I think I set a record for earliest exit ever, 5 hands after rebuy ended I believe. Back to back QQ run down by river aces both.

Re: 10+1 rebuy
Finished in 48th. I swear, I know I make a profit at this tournament, but my hourly rate must be half a buy-in or something, cause I always take the maximum time for the minimum reward.

Re: 10+1 rebuy
I messed up last night. Had little over 44K with blinds 4000/2000. On the bubble hand-for-hand, 64 players left, 63rd gets about $70. I pick up 99 from MP. I pushed figuring having all but a couple of the stacks behind me covered and everyone playing tight. I'm not one to limp to the money, but then the next player with one of the huge stacks calls me and I'm thinking "uh-oh" did I play this wrong. Then an even shorter stack calls and now I know I'm screwed. Big stack turns over AA and smaller stack turns over 44! I figure, well at least I'll get the $70 for 63rd since the small stack made such a horrendous call and we'll both bust at the same time. But then a 4 comes on the flop and I'm out 64th. Oops.
I suppose I should have made a smaller raise and folded to a reraise. I know I'm not folding nines in this situation, I'm in the bottom half of players and can't just wait around, these were the best cards I'd seen in awhile. |
