the battle of the earn went bad this week - i managed to lose $500 for the week meaning she who must be obeyed is a $4,000 winner for the week but still comfortably behind
i suffered a lot of damage in the 15/30 6 max games - after going around at about 4 BB's/100 hands for 20,000 odd hands i managed to get it below 3 before a small recovery - its still a truckload of winning and a better rate than my 90,000 hand 10/20 stats winning is a difficult business - much harder than losing - whats hard about winning is that you have to keep on doing it with the expectation of doing it - losing is easy because it doesnt give rise to any expectation speaking of losing i'm off to the footy so not much time for more - the adelaide crows have hit rock bottom - the coach got sacked 3 weeks ago and our boom recruit of a couple of years ago (the duck) retired prematurely after a serious neck injury - they got spanked by the brisbane lions last week by 24 goals - 24 goals is a lot - say 6/0 6/2 6/1 in a tennis match or 5-0 in that silly round ball game - tonight its the north melbourne kangaroos and i feel the need to drink a lot of beer and scream a bunch this weeks hand is different to all others appearing in this competition - the player concerned is amongst the best 4-5 regulars in the 15/30 school - he sees less flops than me usual rules - only posters in the last week from the short handed forum and its not neccesary to nominate suits i get 10c10h on the button - enormous chook open limps in the cutoff and i knew what to do - BB calls as does chook flop is 4c 2c 4d - checked to me - BB raises and chook folds - i 3 bet and the BB called turn is 8d - check/bet/raise/call river is 5d - bet/call go the crows stripsqueez - chickenhawk |

He slowplayed the 2 on you or maybe he just wanted to see that the turn never brought a big card.

Ok, let me demonstrate my horrible hand reading skill once again...
BB has to have a vulnerable hand on the flop, or why check raise and drive out the chook. Turn is tricky, strong players playing each other is always dicey. I think maybe he thought you would lay down to a second check raise and check raise semi-bluffed the nut flush draw. It would have to hae a two to explain the flop cr, so I guess A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and hope no one else has guessed that yet. Edit someone guessed A2 as i was posting this, but they didnt put in the diamonds... |
