Three Preflop Questions
Loose 15-30, some players will call 2 bets with any non-garbage hand. A couple of players may play any 2 cards on occasion. On the other hand you are not up against completely random cards. Not every pot is multi-way action though many are. There is not an excessive amount of three betting and capping before the flop.
Q1: early raise 6 callers including the button and SB, you have Q8o on the BB. Call or Fold? Q2: early raise, everyone calls, you have J10o on the button. Call or Fold? Q3. Very loose player ( but throws away the worst hands preflop) limps in early position, everyone folds to you on the button, you have KQo. Call or Raise? D. |

Re: Three Preflop Questions
IMO, 1 & 3 are straight forward.
But for #2, if there is an early raise and 6 people call, I'd call with any connector down to 65o. Suited I may re-raise depending on what I thought of the original raiser. Then its FLOP or DROP! |

Re: Three Preflop Questions
1. Most people would say fold, as I would probably too in most cases, but you also are getting 13:1 odds to complete the bet, so I wouldn't blame a flat call to see the flop. You are in the big blind, so if you don't flop two pair or better, it's an easy walk. Still, there's nothing wrong with just folding.
2. I saw some people say fold this. That's the definition of insane. You've got 6-8 people calling 2 bets and you have best position with a hand that will be the nut straight if you hit. The power of J/10o is that there are 6 ways to make the nuts if you use both cards. If you flop open ended, the pot odds are going to warrant calling all the way down. Depending on the flop's action, odds might warrant drawing to the inside straight. There's also the chance of floping two pair and trips... a flat call is necessary, but not a raise, because you want lots of players to continue pot odds. 3. Raise. If you don't understand why, lower to a smaller game and study up. |

A3: Raise vigorously. |
