If he missed his draw, he would fold to the bet so checking or betting gets the same end result doesn't it?

I'd just call the flop. If you raised to get a free card, that's fine but it can prove to be expensive at times (like in this hand).

The rest looks alright to me, I'm not sure if I would bet or check the river like you did. After thinking about it for a bit, I think I would bet in this situation (with no reads). It looks like an overplayed medium PP or 8.

I think I played this right. But guess without improvement on the turn I'd have to laydown. One coinflip for me.

Isn't this -EV, because his opponent will raise if he made his draw (unless his opponent is playing scared of the paired board), and fold elsewise? Assuming his opponent is on the flush draw and missed, he's not going to call. Otherwise he's got trip Q's or better.

I don't mind the check, unless your opponent is a complete moron.
