Las Vegas 2-4 table limit
I have been playing Texas Hold'em for only 2 months with about 30 hours of playing time at Indian casinos in my area. I feel comfortable only at a 2-4 table limit. It's probably the right table for me since my bankroll is under a $ 1,000. Anyway my question is, are there many Las Vegas casinos that offer poker at a 2-4 limit, since I will be on vacation there in August. I was told that Imperial Palace has 2-4 tables. Any suggestions for this low roller and rookie since I don't want to waste time looking instead of playing. Thanks

Re: Las Vegas 2-4 table limit
I'm certain Bellagio does; I've played it.
I'm also pretty sure Excaliber and the Flamingo do. |

The Excalibur spreads $1-$3 and $2-$6 spread-limit. The Mirage has $3/$6. Binions and some of the other Downtown casinos have $2/$4. $2/$4 isn't all that hard to find and if you can beat a $2/$4 game you can probably beat the $3/$6 and $4/$8 games with no trouble. Re: Las Vegas 2-4 table limit
You may want to check out the 1-2-4-8 game at the Palms that is 1-2 pre flop. They also have some 2-4 games, but it has been a long time since I've played them, so I am unsure how good they are.
When I have played in the 4-8, it has been the right mix of 2-3 total rocks and several donating action players. King |

Re: Las Vegas 2-4 table limit
I played 3/6 at the Mirage when I was in Vegas a weekend in April. Very soft -- I don't think you'd have trouble if you're a decent 2/4 player. It was a nice playing environment, IMO.

Re: Las Vegas 2-4 table limit
I think Bellagio has a 2/4 no-limit game...4/8 is the lowest limit game.
Monte Carlo, Excalibur, Luxor, Palms, and Imperial Palace all have 2/4. I think I saw 2/4 at the Golden Nugget and the Horseshoe as well, but I'm not positive. |

Re: Las Vegas 2-4 table limit
I enjoyed playing at the Monte Carlo
Super Cool dealers and only one $2 BB blind PF - no small blinds. (I'm not sure if that makes the game better or worse ) Sarge [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] |

Re: Las Vegas 2-4 table limit
it makes drawing hands worth less, and big cards worth more. it punishes the loose players. read Super/System's limit section if you're curious. it's based on having just one blind, since that's how they used to play. 2 blinds encourage more action since there's more dead money in the pot, and because a 2 players have already entered the pot instead of 1.

Re: Las Vegas 2-4 table limit
Flamingo has a 2/4 full of players that can't spell poker. The atmosphere sucks though as they really don't have a poker "room" just poker tables in one section of the casino.
