Default Do you punish the dealer for a mistake?

At a home game, do you punish the dealer if he makes a mistake?

For example, last night at a pot limit home game with guys I never played with before (except my brother) the dealer accidentally dealed a player out of the hand. One of the other players had AA in the hole and got TOTALLY pissed off at the dealer. Nobody else gave a crap. The dealer was like, "whoops"...and tossed a buck in the pot while re-shuffling.

In home games, a mistake by the dealer..
Male: Toss in a buck.
Female: Toss in an article of clothing.

Why would you reshuffle instead of just killing the extra hand?

Because superstitious crazy people would get angry when they lost with second best hand and blame the dealer. Just less problems all around. Also someone might end up paying more in blinds (marginally) because he missed a hand he should have been delt.

Yes, and three-finger Mac is a lot more careful now!

The dealer re-shuffled and dealt a new hand - a "do-over hand", thereby rendering the original AA hole cards worthless. It was quite a sceene for a few minutes...

This remind me of the hand during the Plaza tourney on Fox Sports where the dealer went to deal Freddy Deeb his 2nd card and it flipped over revealing a K, the dealer deals him a replacement, but sure enough his first card was a K. He was still harassing the dealer about that like 5 hands later.

Yeah, this guy was really mad. Like red faced and the whole thing. He ended up losing badly...probably tiltin the whole time after "the incident". My bro tried to explain that he wouldn't have gotten the Aces if everyone was dealt into the hand...waste of time.
