Default how would you handle this

i was in a home game and it was down to 4 people,
3 of us were in and the pot was decent sized.Everyone checked so i bet big.
Here is the messed up part.
The girl was about to fold but the kid that had folded pre flop looks at her cards and tells her not to fold.
So she calls and the next girl goes all in with nothing trying to buy it.
I called and the other girl called.
The girl that was about to fold before went on to win it with an ace on the river.
If the other kid hadnt told her to stay in i wouldve doubled up.
How would you handle this?

make some rules. print them out. post them on the wall. doesn't matter what your rules are, as long as the first one is "ONE PLAYER TO A HAND." that's it.

#1, what were you holding, #2, why did you call the other girl's bet if you knew that the one girl had already recieved help, even if you were holding a monster and you knew she had rags you would've already known that one player had been given advice - heads up you probably would've been alright in staying in (providing you had a winning hand and you read her correctly, also if the advice giver is an idiot that's another good indication) - but, the big uncertainty here is that you know there is a chance she's holding good cards (in this case maybe its a ragged ace but an ace nonetheless)

Either way, the rules sheet posted prior to the game will solve this problem before it starts, but I think you could've saved your stack and kept fighting, maybe to even tell the guy who gave help that he's an idiot and not welcome the next game. Believe me, nobody listens to you when you just lost your stack, they always take it as whining and poor sportsmanship.

Would not bother me.

I doubt you would be upset if you had tripled up due to the "advice" involved.

Don't play in the game if you don't like the informality.
Its for fun anyway, you didnt lose your rent money for the month did ya?
