Default AJs

I had just sat down in this game so I didn't have any reads or notes on others involved.

3 limpers to me and I raise AJ [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on the button. SB and the rest call.

Flop is Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Checks around to my bet, SB folds, UTG calls, MP1 folds, MP2 checkraises. I call as does UTG.

Turn is the 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG checks, MP2 bets, I raise both call.

River is the 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Checked to me and I check behind.

Now I am going to say that this is not how I actually played the hand but feel I should have while trying not to be results oriented. My question is whether or not this is a viable play under these circumstances with no prior player knowledge, and if so (as a side note) is there value in betting the river here?

thanks,
j.k.
