Default Pot: $9.5 on flop. He bets $25. I got AA and fold!? Am I to weak?

Hey people.. What do you think? Was it a stupid fold? What do you do when people overbet the pot and you hold a fairly good hand..? To me it feels like the person have a very good hand and instead off bet small and lure me in they do the opposite. Like, "If I bet big he will think I'm bluffing and call me down"..

Please, give me comments!

Default Have you gone flaming mad?

MrFroggyX,

Have you gone mad, or do you have a read on this specific opponent? Get that money all-in!

Your opponent has one of three hands:

1) An overpair (a vast majority of the time)
2) A set (a very small percent of the time)
3) 56 for a straight draw or some version of an obscure straight draw (some of the time)

The overbet smells like protection for an overpair, and a big % of people who hit big hands like a set would rather milk it rather than overbet the pot. Don't outthink or psyche yourself out! You have the best hand.

Even if you're wrong and he has a set or two pair, you most certainly have outs. Keep in mind that this is Party Poker!

WOW! How can you fold to that? On PartyPoker -- I would put him on Axs and he paired his x -- probably a 7 for high pair... or he has a lower PP and wants to knock you off a perceived AK or AQ. No way he has a set... and if he does, more power to him.

Look around, frown disgustedly, and then say "I'm all in."

I would guess you are (massively) ahead 85% of the time here.
