Unfortunately, the exchange rate issues will hit you regardless of what method you choose. At some stage you will have to convert the US$ to Sterling and whoever does it will charge you for it.

The most convenient option is to use Neteller, which will at least allow you to move money around between sites without charges. To cash out from Neteller you can either get a cheque or use their debit card to withdraw direct from UK cash machines. Again, you'll pick up charges to do this but its the fastest way to get hold of your money.

If you want to play ring games on Party you could play through the UK bookmaker Coral skin and use your switch card to deposit and cash out.

Paradise have recently introduced Switch cards as a deposit method, although I'm not sure if you can cash out beyond your initial deposit.

One other alternative would be to play on Ladbrokes or Victor Chandler which will cash back to you debit cards.

Not sure about the Intercasino ie Will Hill etc.

Obviously you lose out on game selection.

I think Paradise? are now taking UK switch cards as well but I dont know if cashouts goto it as well.

Thanks for the info everyone,
I've used VCpoker and deposits and cashouts have been fine. I also know that Paradise is helpfull to UK players- they allow cashouts to visa over the amount deposited.
I will try Coral if it allows debit card transactions and it is linked to party... Do anyone know of any good promos???

Thanks again

i changed my base currency to sterling at neteller.com, so now i receive sterling cheques, which, obviously, is really handy

i can move my money around all the sites as simply as usual and i haven't noticed any charges of consequence, although presumably someone somewhere is charging me - but probably not as much as the Bank of Shylock was charging to cash dollar cheques

I am a regular player from the uk and cash out at least 2k$ a month.

The best thing you can do is get a netteller account. This will allow oyu to move money around from site to site cash out in £ no problem. You are chgarged 2£ per cheque but they arrive promptly (2-3 days) and are in pounds sterling.

Another thing no one has mentioned is that Poker Stars cashes out in pound sterling cheques for no fee. It is a yank site so cheques can take a long time (7days+) to arrive.

To allow for best game selection neteller offers themost flexibility.

Yuck, Mike be careful. I changed mine to sterling and lost near £200 within 2 week on the exchange rates before I realised. Of course it depends what currency you use online but I was switching money around from Party, Stars etc and it was hurting.
