eeeuwwee!!
I'm sticking to 10/20 after this one! Not sure what I did wrong here!

I don't play 15/30 or 10/20, but I'm pretty sure the answer is "nothing." Nicely played |

Re: eeeuwwee!!
If this hand made you re-evaluate your choice of limit, all you were doing wrong was playing above your comfort level.
You played it fine. |

Re: eeeuwwee!!
I guess there is not much I could have done here... he re-raised me pre-flop so all I could have done was put him on KK and maybe slowed down a tad... oh well... those are the breaks... I am certain he went broke at some point that afternoon, whereas I dropped back down to 10/20 and registered a 3rd successive $1000+ day! so all is well that ends well!

Re: eeeuwwee!!
I see the BB chose the effective, yet seldom discussed in poker literature, play of going in with a horseshoe up his arsh. Historically this play descended from the Ace up the sleeve trick which eventually became perceived by aficionados as too crude. As B&M cardrooms post 911 have begun installing metal detectors at their entrances, the horseshoe trick is now mostly the domain of on-line experts.
This particular example of a 3 bet with 95s is especially suited for the horseshoe trick because it is so well disguised. This lends a complimentary layer to the whole play with the denomination of the cards being as hidden as the horseshoe itself. |
