Default Are the PP 30\'s that much tougher than the 20\'s?

I've been pretty sucessful at the PP 20 SNGS. Through 100 SNGS I am ITM 43%, ROI 35%. So I got bold and decided to step up to the 30 tables. Now I think it may have been a mistake. The play seems much tougher. It seems that there's always 7 or 8 players left at the 50/100 or 100/200 level. Most of the time I'm up against 4 or 5 players on the 20's. As recommended, I am playing at night, not in the daytime and I don't think my game has changed that much. However, my stats at this level suck bad. There have been several bad beats and suckouts but I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced a similar difference. Thanks for your input..

One thing to keep in mind is that (IIRC) the starting chips is 1000 instead of 800 at these games, so it is natural to expect people hanging around a bit longer. You will need to adjust your strategy vs. the 800 chip SNGs appropriately.

Actually on the PP 30's the starting chips are still at 800. It doesn't go up to 1000 until the 50 tables.

I had the same observation. I think it is related to improved play with low starting chip numbers again. I think with 800 chips and less crazies it is a harder game to beat. I took some advice from someone here and just went straight to the 50 game, did well there and am now playing 100s.

My experience was that the only easily discernible jump in quality of play was from $55 to $109. My stats actually went up from $22 to $33. But it could be random. I didn't play a whole lot of games before moving through to $55.
