Default Poker Stars Images Tell

Playing poker requires you to take advantage of every piece of information that is available to you. We have deciphered "name" tells. Now let’s look at Poker Stars images tell. From my play I have concluded the following

Images of athletes, famous people, poker players, actors, hot women attract the Loose-Aggressive crowd. The players tend to be action-hungry, and are prone to bluffing.

Self images, images of babies - Tight-Weak, these people play poker the way its "meant" to be played.

Nature images, Abstract images - Tight-Aggressive, these people play poker the way it "should" be played.

What have you noticed?

Poker is a game of deception. Some people will choose images that are extremely different from their personalities. They will also choose women's or other names to mislead you.
Creating false impressions, live and online, will be discussed in an article that will soon appear at cardplayer.com.

Al

How about those with no images? That's me.
I think I might be described as straightforward but since I discovered 2+2, I'm crafting my deceptiveness. I don't think I'll be getting around to putting up an image.

When I see an image on Stars, I think mostly that it means that Stars is that player's 'home' site.

I especially enjoy the images that are blatantly narcissistic; after a chuckle, I block them like all the rest.

I don't play on Absolute because I hate all the 'visual noise'. I find it interferes with my concentration. This is the same reason why I block images on Stars.

Good topic ... thanks!

as an example...

I've played Joey Trib. (from Friends...Joey Tribuni) - and they got a nice mug shot of Matt Leblanc's face smiling...

first impression....total schmo...easy to take out...

never been more wrong in my life..I've blocked his image just so I don't fall for the lunkhead impression he's trying to get

so what does my Pokerstars image (same as my icon to the left) mean about me?

Given the texture of a standard Stars table, about 80% of the players should fit into this category.
