If Human Rights Campaign paid him half a million then would he support the gay rights legislation that is pending in Congress? Don't think so.

He takes money for legislation that he probably would have voted for anyway.

Not completely true. They aren't likely to budge on the strict evangelical issues, but the light moral issues, like internet gambling, are probably up for grabs by lobbyists.

I think once PP goes public then they will start to lobby Congress and we will see some internet gambling legislation passed at the federal level.

Why would Congress care about what a foreign company has to say about U.S. gambling policy? They don't have that much money.

Unfortunately, so are Focus on the Family and NCALG.
Hey, I'm with you...I just wrote a 36-page paper on this. I'm just skeptical about the pro-gambling lobby. It's tough to get psyched up about your rights, until somebody takes them away from you.

He's paid his wife and daughter 500k from his pacs. Bush boot lickers like Vulturesrow will say every pol does that. That simply isn't true. If you want Mr.Delay to support a piece of legislation then pay his pac 100k. He will then pay his wife, and vote your way.

He's a crook. It's very evident.

[/ QUOTE ]

Many politicians do this. Is it against the law???? Pretty sure its not. Sorry, try again.

Lets wait for the indictment for the legal stuff.

The rush to avoid an ethics investigation by the (moral) majority in congress is in itself a likely admission of ethical lapses.

I always hold (and you should too) Republicans to higher ethical standards than democrats. Democrats are all America hating, ACLU supporting liberals, clearly with Das Kapital under their pillos -- clearly they cannot have the same standards as the bible thumping, America the beautiful humming Republicans.

Are you aware that there is a Texas grand jury investigating Delay?
