10,000 hand check up - Any pointers
Here are my PT stats after ~10,000 hands for PP 25 NL. This includes some horrible early play. How is the $$/100 relative to the average 2+2er?
Any thoughts on other PT stats to check at 10,000 hands? Top Hands in order for most $$ KK,QQ,AK,AA,A6s (wtf?),A8o,99 (think I have some work to do on pockets) Reported to 4 decimal places to ensure highest accuracy in assessment won_amt 614.75 hands_played 10288 bb_100_sum 5.9754 vpip_sum 27.5369 pfr_sum 13.3942 wsd_sum 49.945 vpip_sb 47.0769 sf_all 31.0556 sf_no_blind 22.4487 I've been getting better and have noticed I play pockets horribly and raise a lot. Is the PFR too high? Thanks in advance for your (hopefully constructive) critiques. |

Is this 6max? VP$IP seems really high to me.

Re: 10,000 hand check up - Any pointers
you want 5% pfr and 15-20% VP$IP. I don't really know what to tell you, but how much are you raising preflop and on what?
The thing is you can't be dealt 1/10 good hands in adequate position to make that worthwhile. Your preflop raises should be designed to narrow the field, generate a lot more action (relative to pot size) and set you up for later big bets. If you're raising with a hand like A/8os from anywhere, you're giving away money as you will only be called by a better hand more than likely. I once had a VP$IP simliar to yours, but it came from playing less than strong hands or even decent hands out of position. It was throwing money down the drain. |

Re: 10,000 hand check up - Any pointers
Thanks very helpful in terms of targets. I'm generally not playing A8o and certainly not raising. See my other post for my thinking on that particular hand. Other Post
In general, my PFR is too high because I raise PP's too much. I also raise alot from the button. My goal is to narrow the field. I don't have any good strategy with regards to the pot however. Also, I play out of position too much. I still think that <20% VP$IP is too low for NL25. If I get a loose player, I want to play speculative hands in position. |

Re: 10,000 hand check up - Any pointers
Thanks again for your suggestions. I plan to lower my PFR and number of hands I play, especially out of position.

3600 hands later after 10,000 hand check up - THANKS!!!
Well here's a quick update on my stats and results. I believe another vote for tight aggressive play.
Here are my stats for my last 3600 hands...(small sample size disclaimer is of course in effect) VP$IP 19.00 VP$SB 28.90 BB/100 - 9.73 vs 5.9 before on the way up (small sample size disclaimer of course) PFR 3.89% PF agg 0.5 Flop 3.01 Turn 2.63 River 2.09 Even if its just a good run of cards, my numbers look better. Thanks for all the advice. |

Re: 10,000 hand check up - Any pointers
Yeah, I'm thining this must be 6-max.
Your VP$IP and PFR seem quite out of whack for 10-max. Even for 6-max that PFR looks way too high to me. -Ben |

Re: 10,000 hand check up - Any pointers
Im sure its 6-max, my VPIP is about the same, maybe a point lower. My winrate is similar, as I started off great at about 20+ BB/100 for 2,500 hands and then broke even for about 4k hands. Its real up and down and I think you need 30-40k to really get a decent idea. I dont raise PF nearly as much (only about 3%) but I should probably raise a little more, and you a little less.
