Default Re: How many books in your library ?

I have roughly 20 poker books, and many are what most people include as "essential", especially for hold'em and omaha poker, both limit and non-limit.

Two other books that most would not included in any poker book list are "essential", in my opinion. I may have mentioned them before on this forum in another context. The books are:

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
The Analects of Confucius - translated by Simon Leys

If you do not think the above two books "essential" or at the very least useful and welcome on your poker shelf, I submit you know too little about poker.

I have 25 plus TTH and pokertracker.

I am currently rereading and synthesizing them all--well, maybe not Hellmuth's. Quite a daunting task.

14 right now and the 15th, "Improve Your Poker" by Bob Ciaffone, on the way. Mostly 2 + 2 and Ciaffone books.
IMO:
Best for Hold'em beginners: WLLH - Jones
Best for intermediate/advanced: HPFAP - Sklansky, and MLHP - Ciaffone
Tournaments - Pot Limit & No lImit Poker - Ciaffone & Reuben
Non-instructional - Positively 5th Street- James McManus

5 counting 4 of Sklansky's and one that I plan to give to somebody I play against on Saturday nights (Hellmuth).

I had just posted a request for reading material on the general site and somebody pointed me to this forum.

Thank you. This thread has added at least a dozen to my wish list.

That is an exceptionally good five to comprise a Poker
