15 and 2 more coming for Christmas

add TTH and Poker Tracker as non books!

That's not counting general gambling and Black Jack!

Re: How many books in your library ?

30, plus a couple that I read and got rid of..

Some of them I haven't read, but I went ahead and bought them on
overstock.com, because the price was hard to beat and I knew that I would be purchasing them eventually.. (+ev purchase.. lol)

Anyways, my friends who don't play, or don't play much think I am a freak.. they are probably right..

cheers.

what else are you guys reading

Reading these posts makes my library look small. I have only bought what I heard or considered to be the "essential" books.

Super System - Brunson
Caro's Book of Tells - Caro
Winning Low Limit Hold 'Em - Jones
Theory of Poker - Sklansky
Hold 'Em Poker - Sklansky
Hold 'Em Poker for Advanced Players - Sklansky & Malmuth
Getting The Best of It - Sklansky
Omaha Poker - Warren
Play Poker Like the Pros - Hellmuth (not a good purchase)

Is this inadequate?

who was it that told you hellmuth was essential reading? you could probably sue them for poker malpractice.

I can't see anything by Warren as "essential".

Hellmuth's book isn't great (understatement) for limit holdem, but many players have read it, so it will help you get inside their heads.

I consider all 3 of Mason's Essays books to be essential, as well as Middle Limit Holdem by Ciaffone and Brier.

Yeah.. Warren was one of the few whose book I actually got rid of..
His comments about 'broads' and people with tatoos just show how antiquated he really is..

I didn't find Carson's book on holdem to helpful, nor Silberstang's
book Winning Poker for 'serious' players..

All three of those books I purchased at bn before I was reading any forums..

I just counted 122 poker books on my shelf. Many are out of print.

Of course my favorites are published by some company called 2+2.

Best of Luck
