Re: AA MONSTER pot.
Why don't we cap this flop here?
I think I cap about 100% of the time here (we als have the nut backdoor flush draw). Five of the seven players are trapped for only 1 more bet... How many 9-10's make it to the flop, given that the action was capped pre-flop, and everyone had to call 2 cold pre-flop? |

Re: AA MONSTER pot.
52BB? A dream pot and you caught the nuts. Everytime I catch a hand like this everyone folds

Re: AA MONSTER pot.
Look at what BB had. Whenever this many people are taking the flop, you can't assume they all have reasonable hands. There just arent that many high cards in the deck.
With that said cap the flop. |

Re: AA MONSTER pot.
Preflop: MP2 has a big hand.
Flop: UTG has a straight or flush draw; maybe a made straight. Turn: BB comes alive--I can see a loose player coming along preflop, but not on the flop unless he had something. Maybe two pair, semi-bluffing into the flush. UTG flat calls, though, so he doesn't have it. UTG+1 also comes alive--uh oh. You've got a good draw to the nuts, and at this point you're getting probably 15-1 or more implied. Call. River: magic hand. UTG and UTG+1 get out of the way, but MP3 has been calling all along. Hmm. Raise it anyway, you are ONLY beat by T8s and 85s; if they have it, more power to them. This is one of those cases where you never knew that the action would continue. With so many players in the pot, though, you've got to stay at it. Hands like this drive your variance through the roof, but they also crank your EV up too. |
