whats with all the old guys playing omaha live?

I play at a bunch of cardrooms by my house and I started out as a hold'em player and now find myself sitting with tons and tons of old grumpy dirty old men at the omaha hi/lo games. How come they play this game so much? It's getting a little weird sometimes as I'm the only guy under 80. And these guys, man are they cranky as hell. They get up, yell, scream, make whiny faces, throw cards at the dealer, slam the table... these old fart degenerates really make it depressing to play sometimes.
