A close call.
Wanted opinions on this call, i figured i didnt have pot odds, but the implied check/raise on river were ok.

Re: A close call.
i always call QJo in LP. and only call QJO ep/mp on passive/loose table. Usually fold.
Raise QJs in LP, Call the rest(EP/MP) Is this bad ? |

[/ QUOTE ] I don`t think it`s terrible but raising is better. Why? 1) You might buy the button. 2) You want to steal the blinds. If there`s someone in in front of you it`s ok to limp as you won`t be able to steal. If in the 1st two position it`s even more important to raise (if you don`t fold). |

Re: A close call.
#1 you're first in.
#2 you're in CO #3 you already have the blind's money, why give them a free look at the flop? make them pay to play. #4 even if they call, you have a strong hand SH #5 you actually don't have the outs to continue with your draw on the turn, but had you raised preflop and bet the flop, you might have won it right there and you'd have outs to continue with your draw. |

[/ QUOTE ] Interestingly, although both should be raised preflop, if you had to limp one QJs would be better to limp as it will play better 4 way. With QJo you would be perfectly happy to pick up the blinds or even just to thin the field preflop so raise. |
