Default Re: JJ gets it heads-up

[ QUOTE ]
I did not 3-bet the flop. This particular jokester bet the turn but checked the river through with T9.

Hey drool, if he was bluffing or semi-bluffing on the flop there's a good chance he'll check the river through as he did here. How do you feel about folding the river if he keeps betting? I guess the pot is probably laying you enough odds by that time to call that one, too, eh?

I don't do it (I'm the king of the calldowns BTW so take what I say with about a bucket of salt). If he's bluffing he has to bet the river to win. The only reason I'm hanging around is because of the money already in the pot from the preflop and flop action means I only have to win 35% of the time or so.

The one thing I do if I really think I have a good chance of having the best hand is lead the river. The standard check/call, check/call, bet/fold (or call depending on the board) line. In this case I wouldn't bet the river because I think we're likely losing this hand. I'm relieved when it gets checked through.
