guy is semi-new. plays typically bad in general but can be irrational. effective stacks 1500.
he opens for 40 from mp, one call, i call on button with 54s blinds out K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (130) he checks, mp checks, I bet 100, he c/r to 200, mp fold, i call. 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (530) check, check 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (530) he bets 150, i call. fim

Well, let me go ahead and assume a hand range here.
Hands that beat us: KK, 44, 55 Hands we beat: AA, QQ-66, AK, KQ, KJ. I don't think I can put him on a flush draw here. Very few combos beat us, so I'm not too afraid of that... If we're ahead, AA, AK, KQ and KJ will all probably stick around. QQ-TT might call, depending on the player..., <TT folds. Since there are more combos of hands that he will likely call down with that we are ahead of than ones that he will c/r (again), I think that this is a good line.

I think the way you played it maximizes the hand. Seems like a WA/WB scenario. The way he bet/raised makes this especially likely. Seems likely he's either trying to buy it cheap, or he's got you crushed and he's trying to get action.
