Hi Ben,

Your decisions affect the outcome in many table games. For example, there are ways to play Sklansky's "WPT all in hold em" table game that are less unprofitable than others. However, all of those ways are negative expectation.

Also, the casino is unable to make decisions that affect the outcome of the games, but they win.
Similarly, if the rake were high enough, no one could beat poker, no matter how poor their opponents played.

I was not as clear as I could have been. Not all games where your decisions matter are beatable. Your decisions matter in Let It Ride and Caribbean Poker for example, but they only decrease the -EV, they don't make the games beatable.

The point is that a game where your decisions do not matter is not beatable. The exception to that is that a -EV game where either your decisions do not matter at all (e.g., roulette) or where they only reduce the -EV (e.g, craps) may be beatable if the randomness of the outcome can be reduced. Randomness is reduced by dice setting or by the ability to recognize bias in a roulette wheel. In this case, you are not playing the same game. You are playing a different game with a different EV.

You don't have to be able to make decisions if the rules give you an edge. Let's say we play a coin-flipping game where you call heads or tails, and you pay me $6 if you lose and I pay you $5 if you win. I don't have to make any decisions to win, and your decisions don't matter.

I was getting bored of playing a positive expectation game and I decided to do some web surfing. I was wondering what other forms of gambling that have a negative expectation that I could get lucky with. To my suprise I found How to Win at Online Roulette on Amazon.com. I went to their site and their wasn't one negative comment about the book. They all said that they were making money, and I know they would never lie nor could they possibly be mistaken (or just be reviews by the author's friends pumping a worthless book as happens in thousands of other reviews there). I found this to be very suprising so I looked elsewhere for reviews and everyone said they made money on there and I knew they too would not lie or be mistaken or just be degenerates who won't face the truth. Has anyone on this site dedicated to positive expectation gambling wasted their time and read this book? It sounds like this could be quite an investment if these book reviews hold true, or be a fool's plan to lose lots of money if not. Please respond if you have read this. If you have not please don't share your opinion with this book, because I don't want to hear correct mathematical opinions regarding expectation that could bust my hopes of easy money.

From recent publications and some experimentation, I think it is strongly likely that you can beat craps if you become proficient in rolling the dice in a certain way that reduce the number of sevens that come up to about 1 in every 6.5 instead of 1 in 6. Your pass line, come bets, odds, and 6-8 place bets have positive edge if you do this correctly.

Harsh! It seems ridiculous that an author would get some of his friends to give positive reviews on multiple sites. If it happens all the time can you back it up?

I know that every time you spin an unbiased wheel it's -EV. However, some people can predict where the ball may land to gain +EV. I wonder if this book contains true theories in predictions of online gambling sites and how their wheel works, hence I asked people who have only read this book to review it. Maybe they know of a site where there is less randomness to a wheel that they recommend.

How long have you been smoking crack for? Put down the pipe and get with reality. The book you are searching for is a scam.
