Raking home games is illegal in many states.
It is in mine (CA) and I'm not about to risk my successful home game trying to make a few bucks. As much as it would be nice for the host to be able to take a cut to cover expenses, it's just not worth it. That being said, anything above 5% would be downright rude inmy opinion.
