66 played ineptly
Another leak I have is playing small pocket pairs. If I hit the set, we're fine, but I don't have the judgement yet to know when to stay in and when to get out. Here's an example that I know I botched. SB is in PT as a sLP-A:
PokerStars 1/2 10 handed Hero is MP3 with 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Preflop: 5 folds, MP2 calls, Hero calls, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks Flop: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB checks, BB checks, MP2 checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB folds, MP2 calls Turn: K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB bets, MP2 folds, Hero calls River: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB bets, Hero calls The turn bet confused me, as I thought a player who would call with overs and catch on the turn would try a check-raise. So, I called down, which in retrospect seemed extremely weak. What say you? |
