Re: Is Doyles\'s expose the aces play legal?
any game where you cannot expose your hand (or 1 card) while live in a HU pot is not a real NL/PL poker game.

Re: Is Doyles\'s expose the aces play legal?
it's legal but i never do it unless i already know im gonna call. in fact i laways do it if i know im gonna call, whether you win or lose the hand you win from a meta standpoint. if you show and fold you lose both ways. even if you made the corrrect laydown you will get punished for showing a big fold. and if you were incorrect...well...you better find another game.

Re: Is Doyles\'s expose the aces play legal?
I had never heard of this till a recent trip to Vegas this summer. I was playing in a 2/5 NL game at Bellagio and had a pair of kings on a paired board. I went allin on the turn on a paired board with a flush draw out, and my opponent flipped up AhQh, and I never having seen this before said "you folded?" and he said "no," and called. Not sure if he would have called either way, but he spiked the heart on the river and I felt like the play was a bit cheap, but I was assured by the dealer that it was legal.
