Is Doyles\'s expose the aces play legal?
 

In <u>Super System</u> he says that if there are trips on the board and someone goes allin and he had AA, he would turn the aces face up and try to read his opponent's reaction to determine if his opponent had quads or a lower boat.

This might be OK in a backroom in Texas, but I wonder if it is legal in a cardroom.

I would personally not try anything that could be interpretted as an angle shoot on an allin pot, but I am just curious.

I know at Foxwoods turning over the cards doesn't kill the hand. Pretty sure this is true in most Vegas rooms also-ultimately, this is a rule that differs from room to room so don't expect any definitive answer on this board.

This is the kind of thing you need to figure out before you play at any given casino because it is different everywhere. In the EPT dublin event they had a weird rule that came up where if you showed your hand in a HU pot it wasnt dead but you were given a warning/time penalty/disqualification depending on whether you had already been warned.

any game where you cannot expose your hand (or 1 card) while live in a HU pot is not a real NL/PL poker game.

I thought about posting this in B&amp;M, but I thought I would get more knowledgable replies here. Also, Brunson is clearly referring to a fairly high stackes NLHE game, so I thought it was borderline where it belonged.
