So you're folding to a raise if you bet here, right? Doesn't your stop-go river bet look like you will fold to a raise though?

Yes, and for that reason you should bet and call the river. All this guy did was open raise in late position, your hand is strong, I think you should put more money in the pot somewhere. Betcall the river, even checkraising the river is better than checkcalling.

Betfold yes. Players bet the turn with all kinds of hands when you check, putting you on an underpair. When you call some people reconsider and put you on an ace and may check ace little, not often, but often enough to want to bet it.

River stop and gos like this do look they are going to fold to a raise, so in the past i have usually called and so far no one has been bluffing here, so the players just aren't testing us. Also worth a note that players never ever bluff with a hand that has showdown value, i.e. Alittle in this situation.

80-160 Hold Em at Borgata. I have A Q in the SB. Folded to a loose player who opens for a raise. Others fold to me and I make it three bets. We see the flop heads up and board comes down A K 3 rainbow style. I bet and my opponent calls. The turn card is the K . I check, my opponent bets and I call. The river is a small offsuit brick. I check, my opponent bets and I call. What do we think of this line?

I like it, you're losing the least possible when you are behind to the kind here. If he doesn't have the king, he is probably drawing very slim so I don't mind checking and giving him a chance to bluff at it because I don't think a free card will hurt you very often.

I use this line alot. I dont think this opponent would rarely check behind om river w/ a hand he would call a river bet with.

How often do you expect a weaker hand to bet this river? Seriously?
