Default TPNK - How do you play this river?

Very loose passive table, average vpip is 63, and 0 preflop raise. Both UTG and MP1 are loose-passive weaklings.

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. MP2 posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, MP2 (poster) checks, MP3 calls, 2 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (6 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, SB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (7 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, MP1 checks, MP3 checks.

River: (7 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero ???

Value bet here? Normally I would except that the flop action doesn't add up. What do I do?

Are there any other problems with any of the other streets?

Either bet/call or bet/fold depending on what happens.

Fairly straightforward bet/fold - looks like UTG whiffed on his club draw - the others will call with worse hands.

Grunch,

You hate to give the flush draws a free card, but I think this is a classic WA/WB situation. Check/Call, Check/Call, Bet.

I wouldn't think that you are ahead to a raise by a loose passive weakling, but the turn check through is odd. My guess is that he has an ace with a medium kicker and the cold calls scared him.

The way you played it, I check/call the river. If he doesn't have an ace, he probably won't call and checking may induce a bluff if he doesn't. With the weird action I think you are good 1/8 here.

my two cents

This is not WA/WB. Due to the board texture, a bet from villain can be far too many hands which are neither WA nor WB.

Bet. If UTG were even remotely likely to bluff here I'd go for a check call, but that seems doubtful. Weird hand, the Cold calls on the flop seem like trouble, but they'd likely bet the turn here if they did. So bet fold.

I like check/call. Our kicker sux and three people called two cold on the flop.

Betting doesn't look too terrible, but that free card could have made someone two pair. I'd want to fold to a raise.

Checking could induce a bluff from a King maybe also.
