Top pair vs poor player
Villain is 54/0/2.5, not spectacular.
I put him on a steal with his flop minraise as I've been raising a fair amount of time. Turn bet to make it look like I'm weak, given my read. I'm not sure about the line though. Re: Top pair vs poor player
I probably check behind on river but bet close to full pot on the turn. You put him on a steal, so why raise the river? It's probably real close but I don't know if there is a weaker Q often enough here for a river value bet. I think you basically have shown through all three streets to have the Q

I don't like the proportion of money going in on each street.
there's way too much left over at the river. |

Re: Top pair vs poor player
Against a 54 whatever VPIP player, I can't get my money in fast enough here. Bet like 9 on flop keep betting 2/3rds the rest of the way.

Re: Top pair vs poor player
Let's say I bet 9 on flop and he repops to 18, should I be willing to reraise here ? His flop raising range probably includes FD, Q, set, combo-draw. I might then be inclined to raise ?
If I flat call, pot on turn will be ~47 (I have ~100 left). Against this villain, I'm having a hard time considering this WA/WB. Let's say I lead for 40, anyone releases to a raise/push ? If he calls, the pot stands at 127 and I have 60 left, which I'd consider being committed .. but it will feel very weird if a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] falls. Alternate lines ? I'm having somewhat of a hard time with this one. |
