Perfect. Not raising the flop against a LAG would be a crime. VNH.

Hi Surf-

Maybe this isn't supposed to be a thread for general comments, if so, you can delete mine. I'm someone surprised, however, that you aren't popping the turn or the river. Villain's play is consistent with either 2 pair, an overset or a flush draw. Problem is, with that ace hitting on the turn, it's less likely he went wild without the nut flush draw. It seems that we see two pair or a drastically overplayed top pair/KK more often than a set, so I'm wondering why you don't pop the turn, especially as it makes him pay more if he's got a naked spade.

It's close. I think you need to put in another raise. (Was this 6-max or full) The 6-max games are insane in terms of agression sometimes. The problem is his range is very wide here. Could have something like Q8 or even KK. The fact that the A comes out on the turn makes it slightly less likely that he was getting out of line on the flop with a flush draw. It's also 3 handed and I'm not sure I have ever not put in more than 2 BB on turn + river with a set.

I think raising the river and folding to a 3-bet would be a good line. I think raising and calling a 3-bet would be okay. I think just calling might be a very similiar in EV to raising and calling a 3-bet.

Interesting hand.

Popping the river is better because sometimes hands that beat us don't 3-bet and we give ourselves the chance to fill up. No hand that leads that turn won't lead the river.

AA 3 ways
KK 3 ways
AK 9 ways

You are ahead 3/5ths of the time assuming he plays AK this way. I like the river check call. Leading the river just gets a call from AK and a raise from AA, KK. Checkraising and folding to a 3-bet might be fine but your edge in a baysian sense isn't large enough to warrent it IMO. Nice hand.
