Default I\'m trying to be trickier... (I suck)

Villian is 29/10/1.75

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
4 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (4 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero raises...

Is this standard? I'm really trying to vary up my play. Yesterday, I would have check/called this and check/folded river UI.

If you were BB, what better hands would you fold to this raise? Your line is better than calling down, but it's not necessarily better than check/call check/cold.

I like this a lot better when you have a good chance of being called by a worse hand, so you have a couple ways to win and still win an extra bet when you make the flush.

Online people will often call a checkraise here with K10 or other garbage. They will never lay down a pair. So if you checkraise the turn and miss the end, you might want to check call since King high doesn't pay off twice. Interesting spot and I like your reasoning though.

Isn't this the perfect spot to semibluff checkraise? You can have as many as 18 outs if you are behind.
If BB just calls the flop, would it be better to CR then?

No semibluff is good enough if you don't have some fold equity (assuming that BB has at least a pair here).
Did you already have a plan of action for:
A. you get reraised and B. you get called on the turn. Will you bluff-bet again UI on the river?

I think this is the best spot for this play. You have a little bit of fold equity, but mostly your hand is strong for the amount of outs you have.

I am not opposed to this at all!

Well, if raised it's an easy call and an easy fold unimproved on the river, right?
If called, well I would probably check/fold on the river since he has me beat and will not fold for one more bet.

For fold equity, wouldn't it be very hard to stay with a bigger A, TPWK or middle pair here?
