The tight guidelines are generally too tight if your postflop skills are in order and your opponents still suck postflop. You can plan many more hands profitably, like 22 UTG.

You can be waaaaay more aggressive with this, Doc. Raise preflop, 3-bet the flop (you're almost assured that the two players already in will stay with you to the turn) for value, and then with position I might consider throwing another bet in on the turn (if I did, I'd take the free showdown it bought me when the queen came, bet if a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] falls).
As you played it, I call. BB could also be on a missed flush draw, or something altogether nutty like a 7 or a 6. Remember, he got in for "free" preflop. |
