So will the draws fold on the turn or will they go to the river? If they're going to the river, and my goal is to charge them the maximum, then wouldn't it make more sense to call the flop and raise the turn for a total of 2.5BB, rather than raise the flop and bet the turn (2BB)?

I think the chance that someone plays back at you and thus enabling you to increase the pot size further should laregely make up for the times you miss half a bet.

With 2 of a suit on the flop, play the flop harder, and then you can play the turn hard if the suited card dosen't come up. If there's only one of a suited card up, then feel free to check/call and wait for the turn to raise, as it wil be worth more money.

At least, I think that's what I read in HPFAP. I could be wrong though.
