Default My free card play doesn\'t work....and I get a \"free\" card anyway

Ok, so my river card isn't really a free card now since the flop three bet is the same amount of money as a flop call and turn call. So call it a flop value bet with a free river card.

Anybody cap the flop with my baby flush draw and gutshot straight?

I'd of capped the flop. You have strong enough of a draw, and there are enough callers to make it a value raise.

I would usually fold this in this spot PF. Am I wrong? Your pot odds are decent but your implied odds aren't that great with only three other players in. The ONLY value to your hand is suitedness, it has no connectedness and no high value. Am I wrong? Is this a clear call?

Why not cap the flop for value? You have 9 flush outs + ~2.5 straight outs for the 6 + ~1 outs for the J, giving you 12.5 outs twice, so you are about 46% to hit by the river, more than the 33% you need to cap for value. Plus you have a (slightly) better chance of getting a free turn card. I think not capping here is a mistake.

Getting 8:1 preflop, I think a call is fine.

Check out this article by Ed Miller.

I cap the flop, because you have an OESD. Plus, I think it would have guaranteed a free card on the turn.

I'm folding this preflop as well for the exact reason of flops like this

He has a 7 high flush draw, and the ass end of an OESD, so not only does he only have draws, but none of them are clean

In this situation it's very possible someone has a better hand atm, and someone else has a better draw.

Folding preflop? When it comes back around to him after the raise, he's getting 7-1 on his call, which seems more than enough for 2 suited cards, even if they are a 7 and a 2.

This is not a bad flop. I don't care how small the flush draw is.

I would call preflop.

PF is fine.

Capping the flop is good for value and might buy you that free card yet. SB's 3-bet flop to turn check is weird, but it worked out well for you.
