Default Too aggressive with set?

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Villain (BB) was very loose and passive (66/2.3/.5), but I didn't notice anything else about her. How about the turn check/raise? Should I have just re-raised that flop, being somewhat coordinated?

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.75.
5 folds, CO (poster) checks, Button calls, Hero completes, BB raises, CO calls, Button calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, CO folds, Button calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (7.25 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Button folds, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, BB calls.

River: (15.25 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

Final Pot: 17.25 BB

Villain turns over a 9 for the turned straight.

3-bet the flop, bet/call the turn and hope for a boat on the river.

Someone who raises 2.3% of the time preflop is raising 99, or A9 here? I'd put him on JJ or TT before a straight.

flop - not aggressive enough, three bet here to make him pay to draw.

turn - too aggressive. If he really is passive, he is turning over a 9 here, check call.

river - pray for a boat, if not, pot is still big enough to check call.

Here's how it should look:

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.75.
5 folds, CO (poster) checks, Button calls, Hero completes, BB raises, CO calls, Button calls, Hero calls.

Hero bets, BB raises, CO folds, Button calls, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, Button calls.

Turn: (8.75 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Button folds, Hero calls.

River: (12.75 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 14.75 BB

[/ QUOTE ]

Edit: Looking at the hand again, I might consider a preflop raise to be a good idea here. It really just depends on your reads.

Maybe I shouldn't drink and drive but is pfr 99/9x with limpers and raising oesd passive? And why didn't he raise river? I would've guessed he had TT or maybe an overpair, didn't get a chance to rr flop and slowed down with the turn action thinking set of J (even though you didn't pfr) or two pair...
