I'd lead out here, maybe 3/4 pot or so.

Against strong players on this raggedy ass flop, leading into them will induce a raise a high % of the time... and then you can put the 3 bet (most likely a jam) and then they are in a tough spot to call

I like this line much more then going for a check raise.. as your stack is in a betwixed position.. you check.. he bets 900.. and you jam for 6k more?? nah, that doesn't do it for me

you bet 900.. he raises it to 2.5k or so.. then jamming for 6k makes a lot more sense

With big (ish) draws.. try and engineer the situation so that you are ultimately the one putting the final (and logical) bet into the pot

leading out hoping to induce the raise lets you do this.


If he calls the flop and you blank the turn, then its time to re-evaluate.
