There is no need to guess at what KGB had as its clear if you pause the dvd. He had 1010. Simple.
Its frustrating when the answer has already been stated but yet people still feel they need to comment on this. |

Never mind what hand he had, what the hell's going on with his accent?
Perhaps that's his strategy - the other players get so distracted every time he talks, he just walks away with it. MD put cotten wool in his ears to beat him. |

Dont know if anyone has written something similar this, but:
Teddy is supposed to be one of the greatest poker players around.. And yet he doesn't think its dodgy when MD says "i wont respect myself in the morning if i dont call", shaking his head and everything.. sighing.. Sure, the general non-poker-playing audience thinks "oh, how clever, he is really trapping him with those comments".. But please.. I flopped the nut str8 in our home game last week! I called the dude who flopped two-pair and bet.. then raised him both on the turn and river.. he almost whent all-in.. Of course, this dude was no KGB.. so he didnt se the str8 possibilties.. But please (once again), wouldnt KGB even suspect it? oh well.. /Billy KGB |

It would be interesting if KGB put MD on a strong hand after being check-called on the flop and river. Maybe KGB puts Matt Damon on a set after being called a second time on the turn. When the A falls on the river, he tries to sell that he has AT, then shoves in with his set of aces that he thinks is good and will be called. That would be a scenario that I think be psychologically plausible and fitting with the cards on the board and the bets.
Actually, the movie if shot today should have the board be 3-6-7 rainbow and MD holding 45o. When he flips over his cards, KGB should go ballistic and ask if MD plays on the internet. |
