I think a big part of the problem stems from feeling obligated to pour in as many hands as possible. I actually made a bet with a bunch of my friends that I could play 40k hands per month, or I would buy everyone dinner. This means that I'm down somewhere from $500-1000 if I don't play enough, so I force myself to play the required number of hands each day. When I was just chilling out during the school year and playing when I felt like it, I could take a day off and get away from sour beats, but now I'm committed to playing for 4-5 hours every day. If I can go through with this, I'll make a ridiculous amount of money--easily enough to fund my last two years of undergrad--but I'll probably be a wreck by the end of it. Oh well.
