2) the White Sox guys on WGN are awful. I'm watching games where they have no clue who the other team's #3 starter is and are openly cheering for the Sox, but not in that subtle, 'we're trying to pretend to be a little bit objective here' way, but in the 'drunk guy behind home plate who thinks he should be in the dugout' way that makes you want to reach through the tv and strangle them.

[/ QUOTE ]

You are wrong. DJ and Hawk are awesome and they are supposed to cheer for the White Sox.

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARRRRRRD YES!!!

Fox also sucks nuts when it comes to broadcasting.

I am not going to argue that the Fox announcers don't suck, because I think they do. But, the WGN announcers for the White Sox are horrible. Especially the guy who says "he gone".

I keep getting the idea to start a blog and document all the examples of poor work from these guys. There would be plenty.

[/ QUOTE ]

Already done, and pretty much is as easy as you say. I think the guys who write it are hilarious.

That's great.

That would be Hawk Harrelson -- former Red Sox slugger. As a Boston fan, aren't you obligated to kiss his ass and blindly offer him your praise?

I like the Hawk, and DJ is starting to come into his own. But I miss Wimpy(Tom Pachorick)

For the Ken Harrelson haters check this out heavethehawk.com, click on hawkisms, the animation is pretty funny.

Add the incompetent Pinella to the list. Zero talent to speak about baseball.

[/ QUOTE ]
Aside from the awful scripted pregame stuff, I like Pineilla. He's not obnoxious, he doesn't talk too much, and the stuff he said hasn't stuck out as awful so far to me. Maybe it's because I grew up in Seattle, so I got used to him. Am I alone here?

Obviously you have never taken a broadcasing class.

Seriously there are alot of idiots in this world. As a matter of fact I would say at least 90% of the population are complete and total wastes of space. I'm not saying I'm not in this 90%.

[/ QUOTE ]

Between not being able to spell "broadcasting" and not knowing "a lot" is two words, I'm pretty sure your spot in the 90% is reserved.

Useless camera angles

[/ QUOTE ]

OMG, it's really bad when you have a 50-inch HDTV. Sorry, I don't need a super close up of the pitcher's face every friggin time he's getting ready to wind up. I mean, show me how the outfield has shifted for the current batter, I don't need to see the guy's nose hairs and acne scars. Thank God Bartolo Colon was sidelined for the ALCS, nothing like his face four feet wide everytime he's shaking off the catcher.
