If bonuses and Rakeback were not a factor, I would play almost half of my hands at Stars. The software is very good, the customer service is excellent, the rake is low in relation to Party. They have more of a variety of games; for instance it was nice to learn PLO8 at the .01/.02 level. Also more small buy-in tournies.
As for player quality. Let me say it again as it has been said in many other threads "Tight-preflop play does not always equal good play." Although there are not as many 40%+ PF players at Stars (There are quitte a few though); there are plenty of weak-tight players. |

[ QUOTE ]
Quote: their philosophy has always been to not rely on affiliate promoting. they are not going to change and give rake-back....the situation with pokernow and IGM isn't going to provoke them to do a damn thing. It's this attitude which makes them 2nd to Party and it'll most likely always remain that way.... [/ QUOTE ] Pokerpulse 24 hour peaks: Stars-22,893 players through one portal. Party-44,174 players through six portals. If half of Party's players came in through the five skins, then technically Stars would be the biggest site. |
