Re: Honesty. (l/c)
eh. last week I made $700 at 200NL. this week after MANY hours and more rakeback in the first 3 day sof this week than all of last week, i'm up like 35 bucks. that's after being up significantly, then spewing, then clawing back ever so slowly.

Re: Honesty. (l/c)
[ QUOTE ]
I for one have learned to realize when I'm not playing my best and to just quit for the day. I've also learned that there's no shame in moving down a limit (or two). But really it emphasized for me how important it is to play your best game all the time or don't play. [/ QUOTE ] I couldn't agree more. I make almost all my significant bad decisions when I'm tired or otherwise distracted/not focused on playing my A game. If you aren't playing your best, quit. Unless you are at a really good table(by this I mean players at the table are horrible). |

Re: Honesty. (l/c)
[ QUOTE ]
This looks like a thinly veiled bad beat/bad play post. So I get to chime in and tell everybody that, of the 53 times I was dealt a pocket pair yesterday (in 1005 hands), I didn't flop a single set I made one boneheaded mistake for my stack and ended the day down 1 buyin. I should've broken even despite no sets but didn't; oh well. [/ QUOTE ] I don't mind when I don't hit set like this b/c I know the stats will even out and for a time I'll be hitting set after set. |

[/ QUOTE ] On a semi-related note two days ago I had 8 sets cracked within a 2000 hand session. I got stacked on all but one of them with all the money in on the flop against a drawing opponent each time. I don't think I played any of them wrong so i'm gonna have to call bs on this not losing 4 buyins rule. |

Re: Honesty. (l/c)
that 4buyin thing is some of the worst crap i've ever heard.
I play 30-35k a month, WR around 12ptb/100 and I regularly have swings of 4+ buyins and I know for an absolute fact i'm beating the games i play in. I'm aggro postflop though and a lot of supposedly "good" players are just weak tight gnits who only win because of the seemingly endless player pool of total donkeys who pay them off when they flop a set. |
