Hotlinks, Jack cheese, on a roll add tabasco to taset
(University staple baby)

Lille Smokies simmered in BBQ sauce - Can be cheap depending on your sauce, I now use Salt'Lick sauce so it aint cheap no more.

Chilli Cheese mack.

Red Beans and Rice with Andoulain Saausage mixed in. I'd make a weaks worth and eat it all weak. Again Tabasco to taste.

Muckleshoot fired rice - I think this is like $1, takes 5 minutes and you don't have to cook.

Of course you do have to play some poker.

Spaghetti Pie.

What you will need:

Spaghetti noodles (enough to fill half of a big-ass Pyrex baking dish [maybe a pound or so])

Spaghetti sauce (buy Ragu, Newmann's, whatever or make your own:

6 tablespoons of olive oil
2 cans Italian-style diced tomatoes
2 small cans tomato paste
2 large onions (diced)
2 pounds ground beef or sausage (depending on your budget)
1 heaping tablespoon of diced garlic
1 cup water
1 cup red wine (cheapo stuff)
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon basil
1 pound mushrooms (if you dig mushrooms)

Simmer the garlic in the olive oil before it starts bruning
Throw the onions on in there until traslucent
Throw the meat in there until brown
Drain if yer a health-nut
Throw in everything else and let simmer for at least an hour.

Otherwise, just use the store-bought stuff.

Anyway, cook up the spaghetti noodles, dump into the baking dish, cover with sauce and mix it up a bit, layer with as much mottza as you prefer, and bake at 350 until the cheese begins to brown.

When it's done, put cold cottage cheese on each individual serving (when served, not all at once), and enjoy.

The cottage cheese is important.

Steak + 5-7 min + gas grill + spinach in the microwave while the steak cooks. I eat it almost everynight for dinner.

morning star black bean veggie burgers.
im no vegetarian but these are awesome with some rice, scrambled eggs, black beans, potato, and brocoli plus toss on some tabasco at the end.

(about 1 cup of rice, 1 frozen brocoli thing, 1 can of sliced potato, 1 can of black beans, 2 veggie burgers, 3 eggs)

make about that much and you'll have enough for a bunch of meals.

Hey TSC,

Next time you make your Zatarain's red beans and rice do this:

One lb spicy sausage chopped into bite-size pieces (link, not patty sausage)
half an onion
garlic or garlic salt

throw all that in there and cook exactly like you would if you were cooking the rice and beans only.

I make this for lunch. Takes about 20 minutes total, and it quite good.

Beef Top Raman mixed with sliced beef-n-gravy boil-in-the-bag. Add a touch of garlic. Nice. Cheap. Filling.

I've also got one of those rotisseries -- throw the parts in a basket that goes on the rotisserie, come back in half an hour, and it's incredible because it's been constantly basting in its own juices as it turns, and everything is cooked evenly. All the fat is gone from under the skin and it's just this super tangy, thin, crispy tender thing, almost transulcent like rice paper. Outrageously fine, and no real work to speak of

[/ QUOTE ]

After reading this, I'm not sure if I want to eat it after I take it off the rotisserie or [censored] it. Nice.
