Re: The Fantasy Football Advice Column
Too many Running Backs!
Just finished a draft on Yahoo (10 teams, QB/2RB/3WR/TE/DEF). This is my team by draft round: 1. Shaun Alexander 2. Marvin Harrison 3. Domanick Davis 4. Kevin Jones 5. Anquan Boldin 6. Julias Jones (couldn't resist..) 7. Matt Hasselbeck 8. Roy Williams 9. Derrick Mason 10. Santanna Moss 11. Ronnie Brown (probably a bad pick..couldn't resist again) 12. Jermain Wiggins (Min's TE) 13. Rod Smith 14. Josh Brown Since I'm way overstocked at RB, I have been thinking of moving Shaun Alexander for an elite WR if I can (Moss, Owens, Holt..anyone else?). But the problem is, most teams have two decent RBs already. Wait til someone gets injured and then capture a quality WR from someone? The elite TEs are on teams with two good RBs already (like Edge/Dillon, or LT/Deuce). So what's the advice? Is my team already good enough? |

Overstocked at RB? No such thing.

Re: The Fantasy Football Advice Column
don't whine when you get a top ten pick in the 6th round. Ever. Again.

[/ QUOTE ] Hey, I'm not complaining :P Just wondering if I should make a trade where I give up someone like Alexander for even a Tony Gonzalez? I know Alexander is the much better player, but having 5 RBs doesn't really help me. |

Re: The Fantasy Football Advice Column (low content)
Are you sure No 5 isn't Ahman Green? If not, Wow - that is a lot of QBs early. I would love it if Holmes and Duece fell to me at 9 & 12.

When they are 0-3 they hate their team. That's when you make a move for a top player with one of your overstock of RBs. |

Re: The Fantasy Football Advice Column
I would have taken a running back with my first two picks.
Imho if you had a shot at LT ( LaDanainian Tomlinson) Shaun Alexander or Edgerrin James you should have taken any one of them ahead of Manning. The Terrell Owens pick is very tricky. He left the practice field 8-4-05 with a sore groin. *If* he stays healthy,he should have a fantastic first four games. Game One on Monday night Football in Atlanta. Rumor has it that Nicollette Sheridan offered another commercial if he promises to play. Home against San Francisco, his old team that "dissed" him, home against Oakland and Randy Moss the "other" great receiver in the league. Game 4 he plays against the Chiefs, 'nuff said. You must be a Jets fan to have picked both Coles and Chad. If you can get Julius Jones or Kevin Jones at running back, you might consider obtaining them. |

Re: The Fantasy Football Advice Column
I am more interested in long term rebuilding. Given that you think Williams > Brown?
