Can we please get this thread locked? It is obviously not to be taken at face value which is being done by everyone in it.

Are you telling me this is an elaborate joke by the OP?

Its essentially the same thing ZeeJustin did with his post a few weeks ago. It was just a hand from the table he was at, may not even have been on but certainly wasnt the Hero, and figured he would see what people say claiming it was a marginal spot but he used his "reads". If it isnt and is truly a hand, then god help the OP.

I don't venture in here often as a SNGer. I missed ZJ's post. I'll have to take a look. Thanks.

Sarcasm that has a decent chance of being real isn't really sarcasm... Or, at least, isn't that funny.

Here

OP actually just linked to it in a thread from this morning. Its actually funny to read the replies he got from it, a very long read. Actually feel bad for some of the people who put a lot of time in writing legitimate posts.

Seriously man, poker is about intuition, you got to break out of the 'nutpeddle' mindset that runs rampant on this board.

[/ QUOTE ]

Poker is about knowing your opponents, the relative strenght of your hands and some math.

There is no 'intuition' to thinking that you're going to win a $100 pot with a 2-4 in the BB. You said you just sat down so you have no reads on these guys.

Any one of them could have been calling with a medium pocket pair.

I think you made a terrible move with absolute junk and got lucky. If you lost this hand, you'd probably be too embarassed to post it.

And for the record... there's a lot of room inbetween "nutpeddling" and raising oop with 2-4, hitting bottom pair on the flop and risking 1/3 of your stack that bottom pair, worst kicker is going to win.

[ QUOTE ]
Just saying you can't always wait for the nuts, as this hand shows.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah... you can't sit around waiting for the nuts... when you have a decent hand out of position like a 2-4, you gotta run with it.
