cashing out 70% of your winnings is a good way to stay at microlimits for a long time.

The agreement is 70% of winnings over $200. So, If in a month I win $800, I cash out $420 (($800-$200)*.7).

Initial BR of $200 would increase by $380 ($200 + ($600 * .3) to $580.

Yes, it will lengthen the time it takes to get up in limits, but I am hoping that within a few months this will change. Gotta start somewhere.

My wife GAVE me $50 to start playing. This was long before I understood BR management (or even how to play). I was up, then down, eventually landing at $14. Since I was at Party, I had 14 bets at .50/1. I've turned that into $10K+ in the last 16 months. The wife doesn't mind my play a bit, so long as I give the kids their baths at night, get up in the morning and help her get the kids ready for school/daycare and do my chores around the house. She has made it clear that I may never invest any money beyond the $50, so I am very cautious with my BR and keep 500BB in various accounts.

She's really great about the poker chatter as well, and understands that it is a skill game. Her favorite part of the poker-thing is that I pay for household repairs, trinkets, etc. with the money.

Congrats on the small victory. Multitabling becomes very important when you're back at the micro's. You should write a journal to keep everyone updated on your progress. I would read it.

A journal might be a good idea. I believe I will start one up after the extended weekend. I'm heading up to Detroit to see family and won't be online again until Monday, but I might try my hand at a B&M. Anybody here have any suggestions for where to play in the Motor City? I can get the wife involved in live play because she enjoys the casino atmosphere.

Also, how about some clever suggestions for the title of my journal? C'mon guys, get creative.

Well just_checking you are on easy street now. The real shitstorm will happen when you have kids as more then likely your wife will consider your poker time as 'play' time rather then earning some extra cash time. 10 hours a week of play will seem like a pipe dream then.

My wife was/is a bit hesitant about the whole online gambling thing. Her fears were alleviated a bit when I turned $50 into $9k over the summer casino whoring, but her skepticism remains.

I was going to suggest to you that you and her come to an agreement about starting a bankroll with X dollars and never depositing again, but you did that and it will probably alleviate most of her fears. Probably shouldve started with $500 though to take full advantage of bonuses offered.

Hmmm, I don't suppose, "0.6K in 60 days" is going to get the job done.
