It wasn't as funny as the redundant link of a few weeks back. *That* was funny. [/ QUOTE ] I have no idea what you're talking about. And since you passed up me for no pussy, I hate you. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I'm an idiot. I kept clicking that link and getting the HSH forum main page. So, naturally, I assumed you linked to the page. It wasn't, I was just looking at the wrong browser page. As for You v. No Pussy, yeah. |

Re: 2/4 AA

[ QUOTE ] Oh. Why on earth would Jason take this line intending to call a cap? Jason, wtf? [/ QUOTE ] Because he could still be overplaying JT. Here is a situation where I raised and folded to a 3-bet for comparison. [/ QUOTE ] If this guy could have JT when he caps then don't you think there's less reason to reraise the river? He's not going ot have JT as often as something that beats you, I don't think. |

2/4 AA: an attempt at an analysis
Let's start being a little more analytical and a little less "omg you bad terrible spewing LAG."
AA - 1 KK - 6 QQ - 6 JJ - 3 TT - 3 88 - 1 22 - 3 (discounted heavily, say .5) AJ - 6 (discounted due to action with lack of LAG read, say 1.5) A8 - 4 (discounted because he might only raise A8s, say 1.5 (it would help if I remembered the color of my As)) JT - 12 (discounted because he might only raise JTs, say 3) Q9 - 16 (discounted heavily since he might only raise Q9s and it's a little light anyway, say 2) 79 - 16 (discounted heavily since he might only raise Q9s and it's a little light anyway, say .5) Ahead of .5 + 6 + 6 + 3 + 1.5 = 17 and behind 3 + 3 + 1 + .5 + 1.5 + 2 + .5 = 11.5. Now 17/28.5 = 60% with this range that I am ahead. The lack of turn cap makes me feel a little more confident that I'm ahead. So I 3-bet. |

Re: 2/4 AA: an attempt at an analysis
I would discount KK and QQ as well. No preflop cap. He waited until the turn to raise. And then raised the river after you 3-bet the turn. Seems like an odd line for either of those hands.
Though I guess I can see him waiting until the turn to pop, but I'm having a hard time with that river raise after you 3bet. I typically don't see that type of aggression at 2/4 unless the guy is really laggy, but in that case he would likely cap the turn. Not a big fan against the unknown. |

Re: 2/4 AA: an attempt at an analysis
I feel link this range is probably too narrow vs. an unknown LL player, but that's just me.
