There are a few.

Starbucks of course.

I used to go to Republic coffee on Madison in Midtown before it closed.
Now I have been known to go to Otherlands on Cooper. Nice little outdoor patio (with a power-outlet too).

There are a couple of places downtown too but I don't go there.
Empire coffee and Cafe Francisco they are called but the only reason I know about them is from jiwire.com

Also Java cabana in Cooper Young.

Not sure about High Point Coffee on Poplar (have only driven past there).

There are probably even more in the suburbs out in Bartlett/Germantown/Cordova/Collierville but I'm not sure where.

The other Pennsylvania franchise I miss are Eat 'n Park's, "The place for Smiles!"

I hated those f***ing commercials when I was at home in Lancaster. I wanted to buy a box of those smiling cookies and throw them onto the highway.

Not really. My local cardrooms are pretty close to work, I just stop off there on the way home for a few hours, and it doesn't add much. My win rate WAY more than compensates for the gas. I make about an hour drive to Muckleshoot across the Sound every now and then to play 10/20...I don't make those trips often enough that factoring in the gas means much.
