<<(4) Video Card: the choices are either 128MB ATIs Mobility Radeon X300 or 256MB NVIDA GeForce Go 6800. If I am going to watch DVDs on the computer, should I get the more expensive video card or does it make no difference?

I got the geforce in mine, only because i play 3d games some. Otherwise, that monster is superfluous.

Standard here in the zoo seems to be a Dell Inspiron 9300 with wuxga screen (1600 by 1200 resoluation). Dell has a huge sale on inspirons - 750 off 1500 or more - or instead just 40 percent off- going on right now. Check out fatwallet.com or slickdeals.net for more details. Poker isn't that intensive of an app, so a pretty basic 9300 should do the trick.

Make sure you splurge for the 9 cell battery. Takes the running time to almost 4 hours and is well worth it (says the man sitting outside smoking a cigar and playing poker on his 9300).
